Frequently asked questions

What do you do at the meetings?

Our general meetings tend to be open discussions with current Apple news, product and application demos, and presentations.

I’m a new Mac/iPhone/iPad/Apple Watch/Apple TV/HomePod/Apple Vision Pro/etc. user and don’t know very much. Will I feel out of place at the meeting?

All of us started with very little knowledge about the Mac, and every other new Apple device that has followed. By definition, a user group is users helping other users, and SLMUG supports that spirit. Remember, there are no bad questions, but you won’t get an answer if you don’t ask.

How do I join this group?

We don’t charge membership dues, so all who desire to join our group can do so by signing up for our mailing list. This will include reminders and links to join our regularly scheduled Zoom calls.

How do I sign up for the mailing list?

Visit the SLMUG mailing list at Groups.io and click Apply For Membership In This Group. Applications are responded to manually so you may not be added immediately; your patience is appreciated. ❤️

What if I have other questions not covered here?

Send an email to info@slmug.org or ask the mailing list if you have any other questions about this group.
